My name is Katie, the creator of Little Sunshine Mindfulness and Yoga, and I have worked with children for over 20 years in several childcare settings. I have gained an NVQ level 4 in Childcare and Education, Primary Teaching degree with Early Years specialism, children’s yoga qualification, Mindfulness diploma and currently working towards my adult yoga qualification.
My journey began when I started practicing yoga 6 years ago. I began to realise how stilling the mind allows you to become much calmer, improving resilience and positivity. The classes really improved the way I viewed life and this had a huge impact on my well-being. I then started reading many inspirational books which have motivated me to want to teach others and share my journey and knowledge to improve other people’s lives. I am extremely passionate about teaching mindfulness and yoga to children as I understand that the younger we teach them how to deal with their emotions the less children suffer with insecurities and low self-esteem. Together we can make a positive change!
